Graham is 3 Months! {My Life}

Graham,

You have grown so much this month--not necessarily in size, but in all the things you can now do! You can hold your head up well, you LOVE to stand and bounce your legs, you grab your toys and love to put things in your mouth. Your smiles are bigger and longer and you are just so happy!

In some ways this month has been the hardest--I had to go back to work which meant leaving you every day. I cried and cried, but somehow it all worked out and you are doing great at Ms. Sandy's house! She loves you and takes great care of you. You even get your Grandmas to come and watch you on Fridays! So while it's tough to leave you, I know you are in good hands (and next year we get to hang out everyday!).

Daddy and I have get so much joy out of watching you grow and learn new things. You are a gift from God and we are so thankful you are ours!

Leo James 6 Months of Cuteness {Grand Rapids Children Photographer}

It's hard to believe 6 months has past since this little guy entered the world, yet it feels like forever that he's been here with us! Leo is a goof--he definitely has his mommy's easy smile and his daddy's sense of humor. I love this sweet baby so much and am proud to be his auntie! I think of all the fun our boys will have together and I am SO thrilled they are only 4 months apart. What a duo they will become!

Happy 2 Months Graham! {My Life}

Graham,

We made it to month 2! Your daddy and I like to think we are "experienced" now :) What a happy baby you are becoming! You smile when people talk to you and are even starting to giggle when you are really excited! Your favorite things to do are poop and spit up all over mommy and daddy bath time, talking to your "underwater friends" on your play mat, and snuggle time.

You finally have been able to get some more control over those wild hands of yours and are starting to suck on them when you can actually catch them. You are an awesome sleeper at night--you even put yourself to sleep! You have grown so much--you are over 11 pounds! You are such a long baby--your long legs can barely stretch out in those 3 month sleepers. (You come by your height honestly dutch baby).

I had to go back to work this month which made me sad--I cried a lot. But you are doing great at Miss Sandy's and we still get lots of cuddle time at night. (You almost never are put down!)

I love all your little noises, the way you smile so big for mama, how much you like to talk and talk, and that you are mine!

God blessed us when he sent you baby Graham!

Happy 1 Month Graham! {My Life}

One month ago--on February 20th--we welcomed sweet Graham David into our lives. While the past 4 weeks haven't been the easiest, they have certainly been the most rewarding. God blessed us with a beautiful, healthy baby boy and we are thrilled!

Graham,

You are 1 month already! Everyday you seem to change and grow.You are a good eater and are now 9 pounds 14 ounces. You have big bright eyes that we think will eventually be brown. Your eyelashes are getting long--a trait you inherited from your dad, not me. Your lips definitely are from me though. You have been cooing more and even tried to roll over last week! Your dad and I think you are perfect and have loved getting to know you in our first month together.

38 Weeks {My Life}

Well, Baby C. we made it to full term! I feel you kicking, pushing, and wiggling constantly and I can't wait to meet the little person you are! 

Though it's frightening to think of all the changes to come in your dad and mine's life we are SO excited to hold you, see your sweet face, and get to know you! God has blessed us by you already in these last 9 months and we are anxious to continue our journey with you! 

We love you already sweet baby and so do many, many other people!

The Abrahams {Grand Rapids Family Photographer}

Over Christmas break I met up with the Abraham family for a photo session. What a fun family! After spending only an hour with them I could tell how much they loved each other and loved being with each other! There are 5 boys in this family--must have been crazy fun growing up! ;)

Baby C Maternity Shoot {South Bend Maternity Photographer}

After debating whether or not to hire out for a maternity session I decided that I would just take some of my own--nothing fancy, but at least I would have the memories captured. So when I asked my little sister, Naomi, if she would help take some of the photos I wasn't expecting much. My baby sis, being her "fashionista" self, took full control and did an AWESOME job planning my maternity session. She did my hair and makeup, picked out my clothes, thought of props, and did a wonderful job taking the pictures as well! I am very thankful for all her help and am SO glad to have these pictures! Baby C is already one well documented child and I can't wait to meet him/her in February!
